No Shake

Break the rules, but gently. No Shake is an alternative controller game where you carefully *shake* a vending machine to make it pay out. Let’s play, No Shake!

Years Active: 2025-present

The core experience of No Shake is physically acting out the urge to tilt and rock a vending or gacha machine, but in a safe, designed way. Instead of moving a joystick, players must carefully tilt the whole controller in four directions to shift the gacha ball toward the target, mirroring the real-world, full-body motion of trying to “cheat” a heavy machine. The reward is “earned” in a hard way through precise dexterity, which echoes the name No Shake: any rough shaking or loss of control will lead to death in the game. Because the tension and satisfaction come from managing balance, weight, and fine physical control, this experience can’t be meaningfully replicated with traditional inputs; it only works with this motion-based control scheme.
