Services

I volunteer for academic service roles to support growth, collaboration, and community engagement within my field. I also work for community service within my program to provide support to peers both inside and outside the university.

WPI IMGD Fuller Arcade Machine

One of my favorite projects from my time as a graduate student at WPI is the arcade machine located in the Fuller Common. This arcade machine is a custom-built, public arcade cabinet showcasing student-made games. It uses a robust Ubuntu-based software system, custom input hardware, and a modular interface that lets students add their own Unity and web games through itch.io. The initial development and automation work was led by Mikel Matticoli , whose contributions made the project possible.

As one of the main contributors, I helped maintain and upgrade the machine’s hardware and Linux-based environment, ensuring reliable and secure operation in a public setting. I developed the Arcade Unity plugin to simplify student game submissions, contributed to refining the custom arcade user interface for registering the games, and contributed to developing and maintaining the Arcade Developer Guide. I actively work with students to provide technical support and guidance throughout the process of bringing their games to the arcade machine.

I also made the Mondrian-styled Tetris TV wall decoration and the laser cut IMGD sign
